Wow, Diana! Way to be supportive! As someone who is also in the medical field and just recently had RNY, I can attest to the fact that post op you dont think like a "professional", you think like someone who just had major surgery with fears, concerns and questions just like everyone else. And I think the purpose of her post was information and encouragement, not beratement and hostility. Maybe it has just been too long since your surgery for you to remember how it felt.

Thank you for your response, I really appreciate the support. I dont know what her deal is, but its beneath me.lol. We have had words before, seems like its "unfortunately" her personality. She trashed my surgeon, with the same type of ignorant rant. Although I had to agree that he did end up being a ****y rat, Im happy to be alive and LOVE to uplift people, never want to hurt someones feelings or tell them theyre ignorant. VERY SAD for her as a woman. Hopefully she didnt have children. Ive never even spoken to my 11 yr that way...

You said your job involves assisting in surgery.  I assume that means some medical training. As I said, because of this, I hold you to a higher standard.

Your public posts demonstrate a different character and level of education than your PMs to me.  This post smells like one made by an attention ***** - you should know the answers to these questions.  So again, I ask, why?  What is your purpose?  Are you looking for validation that you are a very special super-loser?  Are you looking for admiration?  Are you looking for someone to tell you that you won't stop losing like this until you are a size 2?  A size 0?  Again, what is the point?

First of all, I need no attention. I get plenty of that here at home, work, church etc. Your way of thinking is very morbid and I feel sorry for you. Why would I EVER think "I" was a super loser or needed validation? I know a chick who lost 23 lbs in her first 9 days, why would I ever place myself on the "weightloss pedestal" You speak about presenting myself as someone with a degree or knowledge in the Medical Field, and here you are "Ph.D" right? calling people attention *****s?

Your delivery is aweful, if you ever want anyone to receive your message with understanding ,Id change that real quick.

My PM praised you for the knowledge you represent on DS and helping others.

As far as the Medical Field, I wouldnt expect an ekg tech to have my knowledge, a medical assisant or even a Respiratory Tech, although they have medical training. Its a voluminous field as you know, and Im blessed everyday to have a career working with outstanding surgeons for Sutter. Maybe thats the difference between you and I, my life is a BLESSING and not a day goes by that I dont thank God for being able to open my eyes or to hear my kids voice. Maybe you should go count your Blessings and kick yourself off that apex of yours...

Personally, I don't think you should expect to stall. Not every does.

However, a stall at 3 weeks is common. Since most of us are eating less than 800 calories at this point, we clearly are still losing weight at this point even if the scale doesn't show it.

Other than that, it really just depends.
