WE JUST PLAYED: WHAT'S THE BETTER CHOICE?
My family and I just sat down to dinner. I have two step-kids, aged 13 and 15, and they both know all about my struggle with obesity and food choices. I decided to play a nutritional game with them (yes, I know, I'm WICKED FUN), and it went over WAY better than I thought it would.
I gave them two choices in each category (breakfast, lunch, dinner, veggies, fruits, snacks, desserts) and they had to decide which one was the better option. My stepdaughter rocked it. My stepson, not so much. lol
Anyhow, I was pretty happy to know that I'm influencing their eating and choices in a positive way. Yay for formerly obese stepmoms! lol

That's a tough game because what is "healthy" varies depending on who you ask. My children will be raised to never limit fat intake but to be very aware of carbs (ALL carbs - whole grains are not magically somehow healthy). I'm wondering if you gave them the option of fried eggs with cheese and bacon as one of the breakfast choices :P
