It has been a while...had a rough time...

Hello.... I am back... haven't been in the boards for a while.  I have had couple of very rough months (actually last year) with family issues, work stress..

Seriously I need to get back on track. My dad passed away almost a month ago (Saturday on Memorial Day weekend).  Then a couple of weeks later, my boss who I absolutely love because he is the best boss ever, decided to step down as manager and moved to a different team.

Since my dad died I have felt very apathetic, not really hungry, never really feel like eating anythign in particular.  Granted the relationship with my parents (if you have read my posts during the last year) haven't been great because my brother is a manipulative chavinist son that brainwashes my parents and the only regret I have is that my dad died without ever recognizing/respecting me like a grown mature woman.  I know in my heart that I was the best daughter I could have ever be and for that I am grateful.

I have rejoined Weigh****chers at work because the company has an incentive that if you join the reimburse you $100 and think this will get me to stay focused on weight loss.

Now I know I need to not only plan my foods but also need to exercise.  I have completely dropped the ball (no pun intented) several months ago when I tried zumba and injured my back.  Went to a chiropractor for couple of months and now I am better.

I am still 122 lbs less than when I started with the surgery.. I have gone up like 8 lbs that I can't get rid off.... I have been going up and and down the same lbs.

Any ideas of menus... I am going to start working out today... some weight training/abs and cardio.  I was doing so well the year after surgery was doing about 1 hr to 1 1/2 hour between cardio and weight training..and felt great!!! I want to go back to that...

Also considering what track to take careerwise.. I do have a Bachelor's in Fashion Marketing and a MBA and currently work in the finance industry but I know it is not my passion.  It is a job but I dont' want to be just a peon and don't want to be a manager in this company at all..

I do have 2 interests....
1) thinking of obtaining more accounting classes and obtain my CPA
2) take dog grooming classes (I absolutely adore dogs)

My main goal is to have my own business...either as a CPA or as a groomer....

I am already 42...my goal is to have my own business before I turn 50 at the latest...

Thank you.............

First of all, you have done great! Look at where you were and where you are now, be proud of that. I understand what your going through. I am sorry for your loss. My father also passed away on May 11th. We didn't have a relationship at all and my weight issues were all due to him for the most part, and I have been pretty open about it on my profile.

Anyhow, it is ok to take the time you need to grieve, it's a process and it won't happen overnight. It sounds like you have a lot going on, with many choices. That's good, and it will help keep you busy, but your one person and can only do so much. Go easy and yes make a plan, then work it. You know how to do that as you have done it before.

Stress can do very strange things to your body, so first let some of that go and I think you will find it easier to then get rid of the 8 pounds you keep "playing" with. When all else fails I always suggest going right back to the basics.

I know you can do it! Good luck!
