in a way you should be flattered, Only people with strong convictions and opinions get blocked!!! People can't stand it when others are intelligent and are able to articulate their beliefs...it puts their own lives up to a mirror and they can not tolerate the sad image they face!!! I love your blog and respect your opinions, I think you are brave to put yourself in the public eye, and share your struggles with others!!! Keep doing what you do Beth and try your best to ignore the Haters!!!

Well not really. I just looked at who I blocked and most of them were people who post a lot of "christian" threads and I just got tired of seeing them. Then we have Ron Lester who is just a moron and Stalker Val who is a scam artist.

I don't mind strong opinions and convictions if the person arguing them has something interesting to say. If they are ignorant on top of it, then I might block them because that particular combination -- strong belief based on ignorance with an unwillingness to be educated -- tends to set me off.

If I see that someone who firmly believes that it is OK to get a Big Mac on the ride home from surgery (a strong opinion) and then cries "Ooh, you're all so mean" to those who rightly call that idiot out, that is a righteous block.  If someone is a shill for a surgeon, some snake oil cure, or even Avon, that is a righteous block.  Please note:  I define MY boundaries for blocking.  Everyone else sets their own.  It's all rather personal, just like which surgery to get and who to get it from.

I've been getting that message a LOT lately...

I'm so proud.  But I don't know what I did.  It was on the "Have you ever had a bully thread...?"  My answer was yes.  And now I got another?  ****

I believe she blocked everyone that didn't totally agree with her POV. I was blocked for my list I posted explaining that sometimes you (the person crying "bully") need to look at what you say/do/tell others to do.. that can start the poo-flinging.. Oh well, you are in great company on that one.

 So we all got the block.

Ah well.
