Absolutelyofftopic -- Casey Anthony not guilty - Discuss
Atta girl. I expected nothing less. She was stuttering and crying the other night over the searches the grandmother stupidly perjured herself over. To her credit, Nancy admitted that she would do what that dip**** did, to try and save her own kid from jail.
I had the kick-butt duodenal switch (DS)!
HW: 344 lbs CW: 150 lbs
Type 2 diabetes and sleep apnea GONE!
Regardless if she did it or not, she should have been punished for everything she did to her daughter. It was her responsibility to care for her child no matter what. I hope the memories of Caylee stay with her for the rest of her life, so maybe then she will see she didn’t deserve to be this little girl’s mother.
It truly breaks my heart.

the smugness of the prosecutor - laughing during the defense's closing statements.....he's having a drink w/NG right now i bet.
if on the jury - i'd never convict for those charges given what i've read/heard of the case & that chuckling by the DA would stick / bother me during deliberations.

Add that stupid jackass laugh to the lack of credible evidence and witnesses prone to perjury and it is not at all surprising that there was no conviction. Talk about a pompous ********hooting himself in the foot.
The people who are having such a hard time accepting this verdict act as though a conviction could bring that little girl back. Thank god social media is not the last word in guilt or innocence!
And people like Nancy Grace will not stop until she has worked these people into a blood lust. Once they get people rioting they will have something new to report on now that their Casey tit is about played out.
Let me see: I have two children of my own. We are going on a boat this weekend. I suppose I could murder my four year old, tie a brick to her leg and put duct tape over her face and drop her at the bottom of the lake then I'll go party for a month and when they find me out I'll say that she drowned and I panicked and I'll get away with it. Give me a break. That was such a weak defense and it worked!!!! THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT WAS DONE HERE!! No one covers up an accident like that...because it wasn't an accident it was MURDER. Plain and simple. I'm disgusted, I'm beyond disgusted and that last thing that poor little baby girl saw was her very own mother taking her life from her. She was thrown in the woods in a garbage bag to rot!!!! What kind of monster does that??? Casey never cried that whole trial, not a tear for her precious little baby girl but boy did the flood gates open when she was acquitted. We did not get to judge her, but she WILL pay her price there is a special spot in hell for her. I only wish that she could suffer the fate her little girl did. I'm devestated for Caylee, the "JUSTICE" system failed her today. How scared she must have been...I can only hope she didn't suffer. Her mother is a monster.
Hyped rhetoric? There are pictures of her Casey partying after her daughter went missing, getting tattoos, making up lies about where her daughter was...those are facts, not rhetoric. Are you a mother? I am; and I would not do those things if my daughter were missing, not one, I would be eating, breathing and sleeping finding my missing daughter...the fact that she is free while her daughter lies dead is furthest from justice in my mind. Casey got lucky for getting off for her crime, but her life will be a living hell, of that I am certain.

Well, you don't get to make the life rules, fortunately, since the absence of evidence seems to mean nothing to you. I'll leave karma to those that believe in it.
The actions of a person are not proof of what they may or may not have done. This fact apparently escapes you. Partying and tattoos are not yet capital crimes. Well perhaps in your world they are huh?
There is no proof that a murder was committed. When did she make chloroform? Where did she make it? How did she make it? You can THINK whatever you like. You, like the prosecution, can prove nothing.
Yes, I have children, and a grandchild. I have raised them to believe in that important right all thinking people value: innocent until proven guilty.
Hopefully if your children get dragged into court they will my children as their jurors.
You really need to think about the difference between a knee jerk need for vengeance and a search for the truth. You are hopelessly confused.

yeah I gotta say - we can't extrapolate from ourselves . I think an accident happened - maybe in the course of putting the baby to sleep so the young mother could party ..... the mother panicked and then when it wa s too late decided she couldnt go t o the cops and tried to cover it up ..
but we'll never know . What was clear is she had no motive , real motive to kill the child . The child was no burden to her , the grandparents would gladly have taken Caylee off her hands . So It MUST have been an unfortunate accident .
Anyway there was PLENTY of reasonable doubt and Im glad the jury wasnt an easily swayed emotional lynch mob .

She admitted to lying about Caylee being missing, so your comparison doesn't hold up - she knew her daughter was dead. Her defense was that she accidentally drowned and that acting on the poor advice of her father she hid the body in the woods because she was scared. Her partying can be explained by self-medicating, grief can do strange and awful things to people. Casey is clearly an abused and troubled woman, I wouldn't presume that she would act in the same way I would. The lie then snowballed when she couldn't account for Caylee's whereabouts. That's the defence version. Is it likely? Not really. But would you be willing to be so sure of your convictions that she's guilty that you would want to sentence her to death in the absence of any witnesses, a known medical cause of death, or credible forensic evidence? I sure wouldn't, and I'm a Prosecutor. The system worked. It was a sloppy and overconfident prosecution.
