Over-oppinionated Bafoonery

Do I look like Im anorexic! People say the stupidest things! That is all

 I get that, too.  The other day a friend, who is like a father figure to me, asked me if I was throwing up my food.  I am happy to say that since my first few months after surgery I haven't thrown up for any reason, much less intentionally.

Wow! Similar situation my mentor actually called me on the phone because he saw pictures of me on Facebook and told me the he and his wife agree that its ok for me to start eating now! That they were begining to tell how the skeletal system functions just be looking at me! WTH....I dont think he truly understands what Ive been through to get here and I havent even achieve my medical or personal goal! ugh...people can be so very RUDE!

We were at a funeral for a friend and they had a buffet there and I felt so self conscious eating in front of him.  I felt like he was judging what I was eating and how much.  I wouldn't even go use the bathroom because I was afraid he would think I was throwing up.  He kept telling me to load up on donuts.  I tried to tell him that I was eating healthier now and donuts weren't part of that but he was pointing out the desserts and stuff.  I just tell myself that he is concerned and not used to seeing me that thin.

Been There done that. I get it as well. unfortunately At times I DO look anorexic depending on the picture, which is why I'm REALLY careful about which pictures go up, cause I really don't want to hear the "you look anorexic, have you talked to your Dr. recently" posts.

sometimes I tend to look smaller in my pictures...but in real life you get the 3D version and then you can see that Im not all that thin really! not to mention cloths hide a multitude of sins.

You look great to me.  Maybe people are a little over the top with those comments, but isn't it good to know that if you were having those problems, you have people who are ready to stand up for you?
I hope you can work things out and get your friends to understand where you are coming from.

No, you do NOT look anorexic.  Sometimes people just are too used to seeing us as we were in
our obese states, and they can't wrap their heads around the same person being slim.

Just say "My doctor and I are agreed that I am a very healthy person, and my weight is not a
concern"  You can just leave unspoken the part about "...and none of yours!!"

Just ignore the uninformed;  you are beautiful!

I think you look great!  I get this some and I am tired of it.  "You look frail, sickly, tired, do you have any strength" etc.  I have lost more than should, but I am sure I will gain some back.
