Need to Rant: Pity Party

OK, so I can't really complain. I just want a small "poor me" pity party for just a little while. I had my gallbladder removed last Friday, along with an internal hernia repair, and liver biopsy, and general poking around to make sure nothing else is going on. I actually feel SOOOO much better.

I'm just a lil bit frustrated because I'm starting to feel more like me, but when I do stuff like running to the store, it still wipes me out. Eating is a bit of a challenge, as well. Everything seems to make me feel queesy.

I WANT SASHIMI! Eggplant parm!! Indian!!! Hell, Hot & Sour Soup!!! Instead, I'm living on chicken broth, egg beaters, and yogurt w/protein powder....sighhhhhhhhhh

OK, pity party over...
Thanks for listening
Lisa

LOOK AT THE BRIGHT SIDE.............YOUR MEDICAL PROCEDURES ARE DONE AND APPARENTLY SUCCESSFUL AND IF YOU CAN ONLY EAT THAT STUFF THEN YOU ARE GONNA LOSE YOUR LAST 14 LBS.........

I'D SAY IT'S A WIN WIN!  KEEP YOUR CHIN UP AND THIS TOO SHALL PASS...........

Thanks for the boost. I've been trying to look at this as a chance to start over, and like you said, to lose the last 14lbs. I just wish I felt better. I know it'll come.

Just LOVE Dr. Enochs!!!! He did my RNY and my surgery last week. I wouldn't have wanted anyone else.

OK, time to regroup. You are still pretty knocked out from your surgery; the anesthesia
alone will linger for days if not weeks.

Nap as needed, let yourself get well.

Sashimi will come!

At least you have the other stuff behind you! Look forward to your last 14 melting off...

Thanks for the support, though I'm not sure that I would have called it melting off over the last 20 months as much as my metabolism finally working the way it's supposed to. I still have to take it one meal at a time.

good things ahead for you!  I wish I could nap.. or even sleep.. I am not good at either.. I am 1 week post op and I can't shut myself down... I am resting but just can't sleep or nap. I am used to it though.. I look forward to any sleep I can get induced or not LOL.. I had a complication during surgery ended up fine but it took a total of 9 pints of blood.. still, I could not sleep.. :( .. the first few days they tried to knock me out to rest... it would last an hour LOL.. they gave up :) .. I feel great though and I am home.. so, having said that... consider your ability to nap a blessing and take advantange of it.....soon you will be at goal and shazamming :)
