The reasons bands fail is because they are torturous devices and shouldn't be used in human bodies.

It's really that simple.

The band irritates the stomach, the esophagus, the diaphragm... just to name a few. And that irritation turns into damage. And that damage turns into long term complications and chronic pain.

All the people who blame the patient for band failure are going to feel like schmucks in a few years when the full extent of the damage from lapbands becomes common knowledge.

reasearch?.... research?  You mean read for yourself and make your own decision?

Nawwww, who would want to do that with a bariatric coordinator (clerk, nurse, whatever) to do it for them?
