maybe its just me, but i personally don't give a rat's ass what anyone might think about MY health decision. she's entitled to her opinion. for me, WLS is easier than a diet and i have no shame or remorse about it.

I was actually worried that my boss would think that I was taking the easy way out.  She's always been really active and really skinny.  And she's always encouraged me (maybe a little too much) to lose weight join a gym be healthy, etc.

So when I finally told her what I'm doing in a fairly lengthy email explaining why, that it's not "easy" or risk free for that matter and that I feel like I'm doing this for all the right reasons...know what she said?

from boss: 

I support your decision 100%!  I don’t see it as a negative.  I see how hard you’ve tried to watch what you eat, etc… and if this will give you the step up you need… I say go for it.  I’m excited for you.  I’m looking forward to taking you shopping for a new wardrobe!

This "spineless jellyfish" is majorly offended, as I am sure was the intention.  I have so much to say about this in response to the writer's insults and ignorance, I do not know where to start!

She may be ignorant, she may be an ass.. and she is definitely playing the yo-yo game with juice fasts, & whoo-hooing about losing 8lbs on her twit-feed.. but I am truly getting a kick reading the responses. I had to leave one of my own.

I still am amazed, though I know I shouldn't be- that some of the most hurtfully ignorant WLS bashers are fat themselves. Why is that I wonder? Even when I still thought I could do this on my own, lose and maintain (hahaha)- I never derided anyone's choice to have a surgical alteration for assistance.
