Oh, yeah.  Then there are those of us who ruined our bodies with diets leaving us with WLS surgery as the ONLY way to get healthy.  Life then was such a freaking picnic yet I chose an easy way to get my health back.  My bad.

I really enjoy the part where she called all these people lazy and how we don't deserve to be skinny. To that I would just like to give her a big "F and U". I spent alot of time before surgery eating right and exercising as I still do. I like how the assumption is made that all we do is go in get the surgery and then magically all the weight is shed and we get to sit around and eat bon bons and paint our toe nails while it melts away. Jealousy is ugly. Thats all I really have to say.

Easy my eye!

First there were the pre-op hoops.  Then the actual 6.5 hour surgery.  My husband tells me he was told that when I woke up in recovery I was is such pain and screaming the house down they had the anesthesiologist put me back out til the pain meds could kick in.  Thankfully I remember none of that.

After all this my sleeve folded over itself and I wound up with an infection pocket, in the hospital for an additional five days then npo, on tpn for six weeks along with IV antibiotics which I self administered every night via a drip through a picc line.

In no way was this easy nor is it easy now.  I'm on a specialized diet and vite regimen the rest of my life.

Would I do it again.  HELL YEA!!!!!

Easy my ass!  And whoever says that can kiss it too.

ETA:  I forgot to mention the two strictures I had dilated after all that was done.

I get to eat bacon, she doesn't . So FUCK HER.
Pick your surgery first, then your surgeon. Not the other way around.
PS:... Potato chips should be a food group.

I'm tired of screwing with that damn health widget.
I've lost 125 pounds to date!!!!
   And I'm UNDER 190 now!!!

I realize that most of you are ready to move on and forget about this, but I wanted to let you know that CES Chuck StrouseEditor, Miami New Times has finally responded defending, of course, her blog.  What I found interesting about his comments is that he was bemoaning the fact  he wished we could all talk as openly about the issues that concern us.

I posted a response; look at it or not.

I just wish I hadn't screwed up and posted it twice.  doh.
