So tired and sleepy
Have you see the results? or the doc told you they are OK?
Just because someone said that they are OK - they may not be optimum for you;
Here is some example of vit - mineral deficiencies (low levels) that may cause lack of energy:
vit B1 B12
Vit D
low iron saturation, low ferritin
low protein levels
low hormones
low cholesterol
low thyroid
dehydration
Just because the doc said they are normal - it may be too low for you to function.
i.e. low iron - iron can still be shown in "normal" when in fact it is too low. i.e low iron saturation, ferritin lower than 50, etc.
low B12 - the b12 list as normal 350-900, when in fact levels below 500 may cause permanent nerve damage and a lot of us do best with B12 as close to 1000 as possible.
vit D - low D- not only may make you tired, but too low D increase the risk for cancer.
thyroid - normally they check TSH. But TSH may be OK , while T3 (the active thyriod hormones) are low.
and so on...
You also mentioned dumping - some of us get extremely tired after eating - that is often duet o too many carbs (carb coma) or too much food (food coma) google those 2 terms.
Your hormones may be low - specially testosterone. As we age - we stop making them and low testosterone in woman - will show as lock of "life force", muscle loss, being tired, etc...
There is so many things that can be "to low for you to function".
I notice you consider revision - I would try to figure out why you are so tired - make sure you do not have serious deficiencies - so you can heal properly after another surgery.
If you are not sure how to read results - ask the doc for all coppies and post them here and ask for input from other people.

A copy of my labs was sent to my bariatric surg. I would think if they saw irregularities they would have caught it...........wouldn't they???? Ok I'll call them.
thanks
no, not exactly. Surgeon is there to cut. That's it. Some of them know more than others.. but - if you do not feel good - there is something going on... IT IS YOUR JOB TO FIND OUT WHAT.
My doc was saying that everything was fine.... while i felt like I was dying inside...
The lab reported all OK - in norm. But - sometimes the norm are not OK. And sometimes- they do not test it all...
If is your life, your health, you need to be your own supporter.
Get the labs. Then I can try to help you. I learn a lot from my own battles. I had to fight to get all the test done. There is a lot of misunderstanding what is normal and what is optimum levels.
Normal levels - mean that you may not die - but optimum mean that your quality of life should be good. It is up to you to know the difference. It took me almost 1.5 years to get to optimum. I am almost there.
