What do you take when you have a cold?

Can we take Theraflu or something like that? I am with sniffles, stuffy head, dry throat feeling.  Beginning of a cold. (hubby is sick).

I want something for these symptoms to go away quickly.

Any suggestions???? Thank you

post op i became a fan of thera flu when i was sick. does wonders for me. thera flu the tea kind, makes u just sweat our ur cold...

my nutrionist told me it was ok to take anything. =]

I do the same as Elizabeth- I pop sudafed (however many as needed per my symptoms..) add a pain reliever as needed if my throat hurts, and chug some cough meds if needed or an expectorant.. Sometimes my colds just need a little something to clear my nose, sometimes I wish I could chug all with a tall glass of bourbon to konk myself out.. (don't do that.. :) 

I use Robitussin.
