bariatric surgeon referral

Winnie_the_pooh: thanks for the reply I am going to try my dr one more time and demand a referral if he still says no I am hoping my gyno will say yes and refer me.

I agree with the posters who have suggested changing doctors. 

If he is not giving you accurate information because of his personal bias against Weight Loss Surgery, can you really trust him to act in your best interests?

Have not written on here in a while but I would like to say that I finally did get my doctor to refer me, now I guess I sit and wait.  Can anyone tell me the average time it takes from the time the referral is sent in until someone contacts you from the registry or wherever?? just so I have an idea. thanks
