You can totally make this a whirlwind weekend in the city! I am!
Long Island on Fri/Sat and NYC on Sun!
I heart NYC. I can't wait to re-do this photo.
I hope you have fun and get better weather then I did, it was so muggy and miserable, I am peri menopausal and for the first time in my life the heat drives me nuts, I feel like my thermometer is broken and I am set for hot all the time. lol

If you let me know what your interests are I may be able to recommend a few places to visit. Same goes for cuisine.
Most corner delis and bodegas have better coffee than Starbucks (charbucks), while they don't have lattes if you just want a cup of joe, it's a better bet for less moolah.
And if it's cannoli's you want (and good coffee, awesome decor and historical atmosphere, kick ass desserts if you feel like indulging) the place I like is Venieros. I've been going there all my life, and actually went to school right across the street. They have a great sit-down cafe area where you can get some cappuccinos, lattes, etc to go with whatever pastry or cake you order. Mind you the place is evil, and I highly recommend their pignoli cookies, lobster tails (puff pastry cone with barvarian cream), millefogli, sfogliatelli, and italian cheesecake.
