Why so militant?

Why does it seem that certain members are so militant over their surgery choice?  We have new and old people here for support and catty and snarky comments are not helpful.   If someone has done the research, made their decision and are excited about their future..  who are you to force your decision, and your surgery and your life down their throat?  Being so pushy  that you possibly snuff out their happiness or joy in their decision and choice?  Noone should do that to another WLS post-op or candidate.

I thought we were here to support each other,  not have a freakin my surgery is better than your surgery smack down every chance we get.  
We all got here cause of the same issues,  we are all here with the same goal,  we all just arent using the same tool.

Sorry just tired of it.........not gonna be hanging out on this board much....not as supportive as most of the others.

I missed the joke, didnt seem funny, sometimes in written communications that can happen and for that i apologize, but that wasnt the reason for this post or the other really.  I have seen several lately far worse.  And that is really what i am posting about.  One lady, after a 6 page rant back and forth between DS'ers and RNY'ers said she had a sick and bitter taste in her mouth and would pretty much wait on surgery for now. 
That is sad, and scary all at the same time.
Just seems the "supporting each other" part gets lost rather quickly .

  

If some posts from strangers on a message board put her into such a fragile state that she has to postpone surgery, then I'll be very direct--she is not a candidate for any form of WLS.
