First cold-post op!

I have always been good for 2 colds a year. Old routine was, zinc melt away tablets to lessen the severity, claritin 1 a days and sudafed 4 times a day during the day and NyQuil at night.

Started the zinc, did nothing!  Then thought--if I am taking double doses of multi vitamins, maybe the zinc was not absorbing all the way.  then I thought, maybe I really need to see if my other OTC mes are good or now should I be doing something different?

Gonna call the doc later but just wondering what ya'll's experiences have been.

Thanks!

I feel your pain. I haven't been sick in almost 4 years and I am now =( I usually take zicam at the first signs of a cold and I don't get sick. I am 3 months out and feel that my body can't heal and combat a cold. Kinda sucks!

As long as none of those have aspirin in them you're good to go.  We take the double dose of vitamins because of the loss of the duodenum.  If those meds are not absorbed there then you should absorb them like a normal person from what I've been told.
