St Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction, CO has an excellent WLS program and is the only one between Denver and SLC that offers ALL procedures (Banding, Gastric Bypass, VSG and DS). They do not have Center of Excellence designation yet, but all they're lacking to achieve this is patient volume! There are three very talented and personable surgeons with the program, and an amazing office staff that will take care of all the insurance headaches for you! They also accept Medicaid and Medicare!

This is the first I have heard of any surgeon doing the DS in Colorado, do you know the name(s) of the surgeons who are offering this surgical option?  Thank you.

Dr. Eric Hanly does the DS. I am not sure if the other two surgeons in the practice, Dr. James Hanosh and Dr. Teyen Shiao perform it. Dr. Shiao, I think, does mostly bands.
