I know Im stuck with these scars for the rest of my life for the way I treated my body but has anyone found anything to use on them that has helped to deminish them at all? I mean really Im learning how to deal with the batwings but my arms are looking like deflated balloons...its quit depressing
Loving this new life, just trying to figure it all out and take it all in day by day!!!

It sucks. The do get better over time (like, years), but they just get lighter, and thinner, they are there for good.

One nice thing, is that if you ever have cosmetic surgery, many surgeons can alter how they do some of the work and cut off more of the scarred skin. That was one reason my surgeon opted for a lower body lift, instead of just extended tummy tuck, as I had more stretch marks on the back of my hips than my belly. I know several who had anchor cut tummy tucks in part because most of their marks were right on the front of their bellies (they had babies prior to weight loss, so that may make a difference).

I swore I was just gonna be happy with thing and not worry about the skin and scars, but started saving for plastics when I had WLS just in case, and since I then had the money saved for it, I just did it. But, I'd be OK with those stretch marks too. I may have opted for a one piece or tankini swim suit, but things do improve a little.

I've heard of people trying boi-oil, or strivectin cream for stretch marks, but never have seen evidence of real improvement, just big dents in their wallets.

I have tried bio oil and a few other creams and stuff, but never really have got any results from any of them for scars and stretch marks. I think the expensive and most effective option is actual laser treatment.

Plastic surgery, extended tummy tuck and brachioplasty, sadly having the most stretch marks is one war I might be able to win.  Add me as a friend and you can see my before and after profile pics from plastics.  It really is a miracle.  Obviously there not all gone but look a million times better not all just hanging skin.

Brachioplasty is not that expensive. Best decision ever for me. I love my new arms.
