Was wondering if anyone had NF {stomach Tied } and then head ryn . Im worried that my doctor may not be able to do my surgery. I thing my evaluation went good now im worried about this.

 I've never heard of this...but, if you had an evaluation and it went well, why are you worrying? Hopefully, your medical history has been fully disclosed to your surgeon.  Good luck!

There is a guy named Walter who had a DS who had to go through many surgeons till he found one willing to do it. I think I knew one RNY person who's surgeon may have undone her Nissan wrap then done the RNY but I'm not sure. She doesn't post here anymore

i have an endoscope on janurary and my surgeon will look to see if he can untie it. he says he has done them but he also said that with one patient there was to much scar tissue and they couldnt do it so even though i passed the other stuff im still waited for the doc to go in and check everything out to see.

I think Walter wound up going to Dr. Anthone in Nebraska. I know it was very complex. I wonder if you could get a consult with him? I know nothing about this but I wish you luck and a very skilled surgeon

Please don't let them do this to you. There are so many better things avaible to you. This is butcherery.

rny they are incompatible,  the pouch is the fundi that is wrapped around the esophagus, so it is also not possible to do post ds or vsg since it is gone,  so I had difficulty getting a surgeon to do a custom vsg, only Dr gagner and anthone would do so and only medicare was willing to pay. eventually.  my insurance issue was limited due to "regeonal," not ds.   Dr Anthone has done this multiple times,  and this was quite uneventful really.  still have my fully functioning fundy, and a full ds, and im at goal on year later.
