Any suggestions on the best unflavored whey protein to mix into other foods.  I have something called Designer Whey and it's pretty hard to "hide" it in food because even unflavored...it still taste pretty gross.

I can taste it all. I gave up and just get the chocolate or vanilla and put it in coffee.

I've tried a lot of unflavored whey isolate and the best I found is also the best price I could find anywhere.  It is American Pure Whey.  The price is almost obscene, it is so inexpensive.  I bought 20 lbs of it last Summer and went through it so fast that I bought 50 lbs a little while ago.  It not only tastes pretty good but it mixes well and does good in baking and cooking, too.  And I only paid $200 for 50 lbs.  That is $4 a pound.
If you email them they will let you buy samples.  I think I paid $5.99 for 10 different samples.  I'm not sure if they have unflavored as a sample but I loved their cake batter flavor but I decided to get the unflavored so I could flavor it myself and do more with it.
There are also coupon codes if you decide to try it.

I love: Whey Protein Isolate Pure made by Now Foods. I get it from Amazon. It's great. No chalky taste or gritty texture.

Yuck.

I'm in the "there is no such thing" opinion.

But, here's some that other people enjoy.

Part of the issue here is the *name.*

Unflavored protein does not mean you can't taste it. It simply means that it has no additional flavoring (chocolate, vanilla, anything else that companies sell). It still has a protein taste, which many people find offensive. As a result, whatever brands you try, you may need to hide the protein in more strongly flavored food.

Me, I gave up. I puchase chocolate and vanilla, and no longer put them into foods that don't accept chocolate or vanilla.

I've had good success with Bob's Red Mill whey protein concentrate.   I use it in protein shakes I make with fruit and have found the taste negligible...that or I'm just used to it, your mileage may vary.

The idea of a good tasteless protein powder is an oxymoron....
The proper question is "What sucks less?"

Even then, I have no answer.  I've developed a taste for ricotta cheese to make sure I get plenty of protein.
