Hi:To all

Question, do you still feel stomach sensations after WLS, for instances when you ride a fast elevator or take a roller-coaster ride. Those butterfly feelings we get in our gut. I ask this question because I read that some patients don't feel hungry after WLS, so maybe there is a connection between these feelings. And if this does happen, is it with all types of WLS.

Merry Christmas.

Yes you do!  You just throw up less if you have such surgeries as RNY.  The reason you aren't as hungry with some surgeries is because you don't have as much Grehlin, a hormone produced in your stomach that causes hunger.

Hi: Christopher
I feel like a kid back in school again, when I ask a question I get great answers back. I've learned so much on this site, that I have to thank all OH members. The only part I don't like is throwing up, but I think it's just part of the deal. Grehlin gone, hunger gone, I can handle that. Merry Christmas

I feel completely NORMAL. I still have a fully-functional stomach---it's just a lot smaller than it used to be. Yes, it still gives me the "whoopsies" when the elevator goes down fast---but it DOESN'T make me hungry all day, every day. It makes me HAPPY.

Hi: MsBatt
If the Whoopsies is still there it's all good. Not being hungry is good, Feeling Happy is greater.

Wow, great question! I had not that of it and I am glad we will still have that sensation! I love a good coaster ride!
