I have never heard of this program but what an amazing success rate ! I was going to say ... sounds like a very worthwhile place to volunteer some help ...

Addiction is SUCH a huge problem in our society today . Especially ( but not limited to ) impressionable youngsters .

It's WONDERFUL that something works ... because a few years ago the problem was considered hopeless and the sufferers were simply excluded, written off and shunned .

We here at OH are living reminders that people ARE worth giving a second chance . We too were frequently written off by society because of our obvious addiction to excess food . We were sidelined unfairly , denied promotions , paid less for our work than thinner people , suffered stigma in hiring and were the first to get let go .

Its so great that we are fighting back against the discrimination and prejudicial stereotypes and that some of us are able to support programs dealing with other types of addiction too.

WOW you said a mouthfull.    You have to also really watch after WLS or you can get caught up in cross addictions which is changing your food addiction for other things....such as drinking, shopping, sometimes even drugs.    I know I have heard of many who have developed drinking or smoking or other addictions after their WLS.    That is something that people need to be aware of also.   The best addiction to go to is exercise....that one won'r harm you.    LOL   Have a blessed day.

Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian

GOD GRANT ME THE SERENITY TO ACCEPT THE THINGS I CAN NOT CHANGE;   COURAGE TO CHANGE THE THINGS THAT I CAN;  AND THE WISDOM TO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE !!!!    THIS IS MY DAILY PRAYER.
