OTC pain medication after gastric bypass

 I am looking for some pain medication that I can buy OTC. I had a gastric bypass 2 years ago and never needed any pain medication so i do not know the most stomage friendly pain medication. Cannot  reach my doc in Germany , so please help.

All I've found is Tylenol... Good Luck!

We're not supposed to take any nsaids - no aspirin, advil, motrin, aleve, etc. Only Tylenol, which isn't the best for the liver.

I've taken Advil with my surgeon's blessing since I was a year post op. Many of us have pain that can't be managed by Tylenol or we have high liver numbers so Tylenol is a no no for that reason, some have inflammation with pain and need the anti inflammatory properties that an Nsaid can give. Only take them on a full stomach. Some use crackers, yogurt or something to have a coating in the stomach when they take advil (or comperable). Take for short periods of time only - not daily. Gel caps are the form most allowed by weight loss surgeons. Many have changed their "NO Nsaid's" stance since gel tabs came out. I've used them for years as have many of my friends who had the same surgeon. If you had ulcers before surgery do not use nsaids now. But for most of us it works, we're fine and like food or wine-everything in moderation.

Liquid Tylenol works very fast, and is very easy on the tummy. I have to be super careful, as I have a history of really bad Gastritis, and Liquid Tylenol does fine for me, though I don't use it very often.

Tylenol is what is recommended.

We aren't supposed to take NSAIDS.  That being said, I do know that some take ibuprofen on an infrequent basis, accompanied by something for the tummy, such as OTC prevacid, etc.
