To be honest you really can't rely on TV for good info- almost everything is an ad these days, even when it comes to the news! The best way to educate your husband on WLS is to do it yourself, and read lots of medical journals on the surgery types, the complication rates, and the nutritional compliance. Then share your info with him and see how it goes.
