Thanks for the reply. My new primary has already mentioned to me that if she has difficulty in any way to regulate my levels she will recommend an Endo. I first want to see where and what she can do. She just drew a full panel on me. What other testing do you know of?

Thanks, Chris

the new ranges are .3-3.0 like the other posters said but that is just for diagnosing thyroid disorders.  Once you are on synthroid, you want to keep your levels as close to 1.0 as possible for ideal function especially since you have no thyroid.  When I go over 2 or 2.5, I get my levels increased and usually try to stay around .5-.7 to feel my best.  I also recently went onto Cytomel which is T3 for a low T3 level and help the synthroid work better.

by increasing your dose, you should lose some weight as it will increase your metabolism

Hi, I am currently getting a band to sleeve revision but my tsh 3rd gen is 0.144. What do you think are the effects if any by me getting the surgery done? My first tsh level was lower before I did my lapband. Just been searching the net and couldn't find an answer besides a doctor and a Rn disagreeing with each other.
