Is it my gallbladder?

My gallbladder was so full of tiny little stones they would not let me leave the hospital even after the morphine kicked in and I felt fine.  I had to stay until the got the infection under control and removed my gallbladder.  The pain was so intense on the right hand side, right in the location of my gallbladder that I had to throw myself clothed into the shower so I wouldn't pass out before my son got home from school.  I called my ex to come get my son so I could have a friend drive me to the hospital.  I had two attacks in the two days proceeding the big attack that was some of the worst pain I have ever felt in my life.

Wow-HEIDI-ouch ! Any idea how long-or how many times your GB might have been inflammed? Was this after you had lost weight? Did the stones stick together and obstuct your bile duct?

Everyone's pain tolerance is so different, of course, but  many people have described GB attacks as being "way on up there"

My gallbladder thing was about 5 years prior to wls, I had two attacks and then the big one and then the hospital and then 3 days later after intervenous antibiotics it got cut out.

Last year, ten years later I had this horrible pain, found out that a stone was left in my bile duct from my surgery and was causing me excruciating anguish and once it passed I was fine after several days of pain killers.

Thank you all for your input. It is definitely not my appendix because that was removed 3 yrs. ago. I had another attack after lunch today. Not as severe as Friday nite. But I had my surgeon paged and I am going in to see him tomorrow morning. What worries me the most is not so much the gallbladder pain, but the pain in the bowel area that I get at the same time as the gall pain. Kinda freaks me out. I had a bowel resection done 3 yrs ago and I don't want to go thru that again.

ummmmm, that kind of pain is what sent me to the hospital just recently on Jan 18th and ended up with a bowel obstruction. The freak out part is that it can happen for the rest of your life!
