What on earth does this woman's weight have to do with her sexually assaulting this boy?  Am I missing something?  Was it because she said he raped her and they pointed out her weight as if to show that it wasn't likely?

I agree, the writer is clearly biased against obesity.  No too impressive.

When I was raped in 1998, pointing out my weight was the defense's way of saying that no way would their client rape someone so huge (I was 5'3", and about 230 lbs).

Apparently, only models get raped.

I think pointing out her weight for the sake of this article was uncalled for and someone should do something about it pronto.

I thought that too, until I realized that the story makes it clear that the sex was consensual.  So, if she wasn't attractive enough to rape why would she be attractive enough for voluntary sex?  No, the writer brought up the woman's weight gratuitously, only to insult her.  It had no bearing on the story whatsoever.  Just an excuse for the writer to bash her because she was overweight.

So you aren't disagreeing with me. :)

Right, it was only to bash and embarrass the woman.

I agree . The implication is that she must be the rapist because she's so unattractive and  therefor desperate .  Of course  the alleged postcoital ********ts didn't help her argument lol.
