3 Years Post-RNY
Melissa. I had my surgery in 2007 & had the best 4years of my life. i went from 310 to 162 & now back to 210. I recently had exploratory surgery done because of a pain in my side but Dr Davis assured me that my pouch is still small....so that has prompted my to start a blog about turning this weight gain around. I am going to do this because accepting it means failure & I always tell everyone that you think you a feel like a failure after a diet that did not work out...try weight loss surgery & gaining weight...now that feels like failure.!!!! I know this all does not sound encouraging but I think make sure yr pouch is still small & then look at the other issue becuase if this is not the problem not even a revision will help.Add me as a friend if yopu want some support from soneone in the same boat and I will let you knwo once I publish my blog & hopefully we can encourage each other!!

Wow we had surgery just days apart! And I'm 30. I am noticing weight gain also so I have decided to try to just start writing down what I eat so I can see why I'm gaining..and I have done this for a week so far and WOW I did not realize how much I snack that's my biggest problem so I'm going to try to fix it..but anyway I don't have the money for a revision and honestly don't think I would get one because at some point we have to learn how to maintain weight without surgery or we will just keep cutting the stomach away til its gone lol jk!! Well good luck =)
Are you tracking every bite that goes into your mouth? Are you exercising? Are you watching your carbs and protein? WLS surgery isn't magic. You have to work hard to lose the weight and keep it off.
