I am having a very hard time getting my protein in and am wondering whether anyone has tried liquid protein. Is it tolerable? okay?

What kind of protein is it?  Whey isolate?  Whey concentrate?  Collagen?

Are you talking about things like this? http://www.walmart.com/ip/Body-Fortress-Whey-Protein-Shot-26 -gram-Fruit-Punch-2.9-fl-oz/10322370#Item+Description

Protein is not a liquid but can come suspended in liquids.  Perhaps you can provide a link to what you are talking about?

Chris, that's what I was thinking. I am wondering about this because I can't get enough protein in my diet...I am burned out on protein and milk! Have you used this "liquid" protein before?

That's mostly collagen, which is made from the skin and hooves of cows and pigs and is not absorbed well because it doesn't have all the amino acids.  It has a little whey thrown in but not enough to make it worth the money.

You have to drink water every day and protein mixed in with your water counts as water.  So, if you sipped three protein shakes a day, that would give you 75 grams of protein each day and that would only be 30 ounces of water.  You need to drink three times that much of water every day anyway.  So, it is actually not that hard to get in those 30 ounces (75 grams of protein).

Remember, if you keep sipping every five minutes, over the course of the day, it will be easy.  You can't think of protein as a meal time task anymore.  You will need to drink it all day long for a while.

Check out the following protein.  It is very good, and it has zero fat and zero carbs.  And, just mix it with water.

Syntrax Nectar is available at Vitacost and they have great shipping deals. http://www.vitacost.com/productResults.aspx?x=0&y=0&ntk=prod ucts&ss=1&Ntt=syntrax%20nectar   Also, they have great blender bottles that have a surgical steel mixer ball inside. Blender bottles are really nice after surgery because it takes so long to drink your protein. This was you can just shake it up as needed. You can also get them at Vitacost. http://www.vitacost.com/BlenderBottle-Blue

Okay, I'll look into that. I can't stand the smell of my protein powder any more. I am worried I won't be strong enough to return to work unless I can start getting the minimum amount of protein in. All the soft blended foods I try sit in my stomach like a rock.
