MONDAY GRATEFUL POST
Good Monday Morning Everyone,
Hope you had a wonderful weekend and are now ready for a great week ahead. I know I have a very busy day today. I am SO grateful for my life since my WLS. It's hard to believe that it is going to be 7 yrs this coming fall since my RNY. Life isn't perfect but it is SO much better than before my WLS. I am grateful for all the choices of WLS available today. The only choice I had was RNY or Lapband. Since I LOVE sweets...my surgeon said that Lapband wouldn't be the right choice for me so I had RNY. I am SO grateful that I did. I am also so grateful that my bariatirc surgeon pointed me to OH for support and encouragement. You guys are ALL AMAZING whether you know it or not. Support is such a BIG part of our WLS and so are support groups. I am always amazed though of people who NEVER attend any type of support group at all. My life would be pretty bad without them. I always walk away with more knowledge than when I walked into them. PLEASE share with us if you will what you are grateful for today and please have a wonderful Easter week.

GOD GRANT ME THE SERENITY TO ACCEPT THE THINGS I CAN NOT CHANGE; COURAGE TO CHANGE THE THINGS THAT I CAN; AND THE WISDOM TO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE !!!! THIS IS MY DAILY PRAYER.

I am grateful for a loving and supportive family. A wonderful husband who was fantastic with replacing a faucet in my kitchen sink over the weekend. He is amazing that way! He makes my life complete.
I am grateful to my co-workers who are a support group in themselves. With out them I could not be here working everyday. One has taken my photo every Monday for the last three weeks since I came back to work. Wonderful and motivating.
Thanks for sharing your success too!

I'm grateful that I had my RNY surgery. Sometimes I have to stop & remind myself: You did it, grrl! A dream come true! When I put scar gel on my incision, I tell it "I love you, thank you for my new life, thank you for my new birth day!"
It was a long battle to get my insurance to okay me for RNY. I never cried (& boy, am I a crier
), but I was so deflated & disappointed at times I almost gave up.
I am so grateful for my handsome, wondrous son. He's a freshman in college (away but not too far away). I saw him this past Friday for the first time in almost a month & it was just such a joy to lay eyes on him,
kiss his cheek, & hug him (although he's so tall I have to reach up Up UP). God really blessed me with that one. Thank you Lord!
I'm grateful for The Hubs. He's annoying, infuriating, maddening, a workoholic, an absent-minded scientist, completely left-brained (meaning no common sense)... but he & I are still together after 26+ years. We've had so many rough patches (especially since my surgery). But somehow, in the evening, there we'll be, watching Big Bang Theory or Foyle's War, & then saying goodnight & I love you.
This marriage thing...
I don't think I'll ever have it figured out. But I'm thankful.
