my surgery is monday morning and thursday i got a boil on my breast got on anibotics right away but it hasnt scab completly over yet will this delay my surgery. Loretta

You should be fine. They will pump you with more antibiotics anyway.

LORETTA..take your antibiotics, as prescribed..drink lots of fluids, to stay hydrated, and help flush the infection...

DO NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT squeeze/cut the boil, and thus create an additional "open wound"-that COULD delay your surgery, as the surgeon may worry about an additional hospital acquired infection...most "skin boils" are a form of staph infection-keep it covered, so as not to allow any drainage to spread to other skin areas..

Since you have already been on antibiotics over 48 hrs-and will be on them even longer, by tomorrow, I bet everything will be JUST FINE !!!

Breathe..breathe..breathe...this is just a bump..err..boil in the road...You've waited a long time for this...and you SO deserve everything you waited for!

its to late with the not poping it when it pop up on wesnesday i tryed to pop it thinking it would be gone it has a small scab but isnt dry yet. Just so frustrated have to drive two hours have everything ready hubby taking a few days off. worked real hard at this diet . hope its ok. Loretta
