This just in: The ABC News 20/20 segment on bariatric surgery featuring successful bariatric patients (including me...) and ASMBS President and founding OAC Board Member, Robin Blackstone, MD, has been pulled from tonight’s program. The show on the weight loss industry, however, is still scheduled to air. We join ASMBS in the hopes that the program will provide balanced and accurate information about obesity and its treatment.

I just found out about this off my surgeons FB page. What a disappointment that they would adress the industry without providing the balance of interviewing doctors and patients. Ridiculous.

Disappointed that they didn't air your segment but they spent 15 minutes on Jessica Simpson and others for weight loss pills.

IANUNES-I agree..I watched the whole thing..the remote was across the room, and I was too tired AKA lazy to get up..the program was a tad bit "entertaining", at some points, but not what I would call "informative"

I did like the "snarky dig", towards Kim K, when she spoke about her product's ingredients, etc, and the speaker said "So now Kim is a chemist..."..I doubt SHE would have caught the snark...Would I like to have HER body, for a day?..well..yea..but that would happen way faster by me getting up and getting the remote, more often, and than by swallowing her "magic pills"--right?

Jus****ched what they had aired & have to say I'm very disappointed. Anything you would of had to say would of been far better than what junk they actually did show. Do they plan on airing your interview at some point? I sure hope so.
