It WILL happen

I get excited over the silliest things, I know.

I was not scheduled for my first WLS seminar (the first requirement before my doc can send the referral to the surgeon****il Aug 22 because they were full up until then. Well I got bumped up to June 13!!! I'm so excited I only have to wait 2 weeks instead of 2 whole months! From the sounds of it, this process does not move very fast so I'm glad to shave off that 2 months. I'm so ready to feel better, have more energy and all the happy side effects that will come with surgery. I'm ready to live.

That is great news! I am 2 years post op and I remember how excited I was to start the whole process too, my husband is having surgery next week and I am even more excited for him.
 

Thanks!! Wish surgery would come faster, but this is a good lesson in patience. Going to use the time to diet and educate myself.

I can feel your joy and happiness :)  Congrats on getting an earlier date.

Continue to read on the forum and listen to other people`s journey`s.  It is important to note that sometimes it may seem that all people have problems post-op.  Not true, the people that post questions are the ones having issues and are looking for support or further knowledge. 

Do you know which surgery you will have?

It's not silly. You are on a journey that we have all gone through. It is
exciting!!! Congrats on getting moved up. Learn as much as you can before
hand then when you are there you can ask the really deep questions.

Not sure which surgery I am going to opt for, although I'm leaning towards RNY. What a big decision! I have a lot of researching to do.

it is very hard to be waiting for something u really really want..trust me..i am meeting my surgeon june 8th at TWH and i`ve started my process last year in april 2011.(.so nervous and very excited).But i was told that they r prolly booking surgeries in late august or sept...so more waiting..lol.
I know i can do it becuz i`m this far already.
All the apts r so easy and they r all very nice people.

keep ur chin up and think positive..i know i have to :)
