On Monday I have an echo stress test, Thursday is my nutrition class, AND July 9 is the big day!! Excited, scared ,etc.  The past few days I was beginning to second guess the surgery but my son spilled a drink on the floor last night and the stress on my knees when I crotched down to clean it...WOW.  I am so sick of knee and ankle pain simply because of excess weight.  I need this.

I promise to follow all the eating guidelines, take all my vitamins, and exercise.  This is my last, best chance to change my life.

Surgery weight:  232 lbs. / Goal: 145 lbs. Height:  5'5"     Fat? Ain't nobody got time for that.

Yes, I have heard from other people about their nervousness about surgery.  Especially the last two weeks before.  Perfectly normal.

Personally I didn`t stress out.  However It took 14 months from referral to surgery date, so I had a long time to get used to the idea.  I also took time before the referral to really consider my options and by the time I asked for the referral, I had made my mind up.

Once you have surgery and are losing weight, your knees, ankles and any other joints will be rejoicing.  You will be able to wipe stuff off the floor more easily.  No more issues crouching down!!

Life does get better.  I had surgery December 12, 2011.  I am now down 98 lbs.

Keep your chin up.  You can do this!

You are doing awesome.  Yes, it is a long way up from the floor when we are obese.  But, follow your program and you will find that life is so much sweeter, especially for your time with your family.  I outrun my kids, had a great time escorting my 6 year old daughter to her first father-daughter dance, etc.  And they can all place there arms all the way around me.

Best,
