New "skinny" problem

I am pretty sure I am missing something..my mental picture is that you sat down between two couples and started talking to them and they snubbed you. I wasn't really asking for the details of the conversation..its just difficult to offer advice or insight when we are not really sure what exactly you are upset about.

After reading more in your last reply it seems perhaps you were talking to both couples and something was said that changed the tone of the conversation..

Anyway... I guess my advice if you are looking for it remains. These are strangers? Just walk away and let it go you can't change it now. Hope you are feeling better.

Yeah I'm over it.
They sat down on either side of me within about 5 minutes of each other.
The women started talking to me first.
I did not start coversation with them.
Then something must have been said between them and their spouses because all hell broke loose. One guy actually got up and left his wife sitting there. I have no idea what was said between them and really don't care anymore.
I was just surprized and shocked at the womens' attitudes and behaviors.
Caught me off guard.
But like you said they are strangers. Best to just forget them.

I totally get what you are saying. It's such a trip, I'm the same person. I know the vibe you're talking about, when it first started happening, it caught me a lil' off guard, then I laughed about, thinking if only they knew. In a way, it's a huge compliment.
In another situation, an associate of mine bf always flirts. Before I lost wt. she would just laugh, think it was the funniest thing. Mind you, I always felt uncomfortable w/ it. Now, it's extra akward b/c she's not laughing anymore and she gets extra possessive w/ him. I'm like girl please, I lost weight, not my morals. Plus, he's never been attractive to me. uuughhh! lol.. It's her ignorance that makes me mad, assuming that I couldn't get whoever when I was fat. All sizes/shapes of women get hit on all day from attached men.
A friend of mine said I'm competition now, what? I was prepared for a change of reaction in men. But, the women...

Yeah it was the women's reaction that pissed me off. They were all friendly when they sat down next to me and engaged me in conversation then as soon as the husbands started getting into the conversation they just got all weird and rude.
Totally blew me away. I just never expected it.
I wasn't flirting. I was just talking.
I just expected better from my own sex. I mean these women were not kids either they were my age for crying out loud.
It was all just too much.
But I'm over it now.
