I am receiving a job offer for HCA. .. not sure what they cover..but wont be starting for a month or so.

WIth my current employee- I am SET To GO, and surgery is scheduled for a week.
They only cover 50%

Not sure how much HCA covers? or how long I can take time off - after I start..

NOT SURE WHAT TO DO?

Had RNY on 8/8/2012- revision from Gastric sleeve in 12/2008-

Hi Carmen!

Why don't you call them and find out what they cover.  It probably wouldn't be a good idea to start a new job and have major surgery which requires time off immediately.  I personally would think it a bad idea.

I thought you were all set???

What is HCA anyway?

Best,
Layla

If I'm not mistaken, they pay 100% after a $2000 copay.  LapBand and RNY only.  At an HCA facility.

I believe I've read in the past of duodenal switch patients who are HCA employees traveling from out of state to Dr. Daryl Stewart in Denton, Texas, because he was one of the only ones in the HCA system who would do the DS.
