If I could go back 7 Years....
If so, I wouldn't rush into another surgery at all. I would keep documenting my history and try to get my iron/labs and thyroid right. That may make all the difference. Then I would try and present my case to a few of the best surgeons and get their take on it (include mine).
I get you on the iron thing - I've been winded and fatigued. My last ferritin reading was 5. It sucks! Pre-op I was like this too - dizzy when you bend etc. Always issues keeping my iron up. I have I.V. slow injections of venofer for the past couple of years. I am using a few types of oral iron and seeing where that takes me - I have been real consistant. My D was down the toilet too and my B12 was low normal which here (our WLS community) is terrible. Everyday I am working on it.
Don't give up! Keep working it!
It's so good to hear from someone who understands. I've been anemic all my life. Supplements at 5, but that's just how I am built. I doubt any surgeon will touch me if my levels aren't good. I won't risk it anyway, so that is definitely my focus. Yes, been eating the same. No more than 1,000 a day. With no exercise to speak of. Then, you add empty calories like the wine, and there you have it. :) Thank you for the encouragement :))

Thank you! Sometimes reality needs pounded into our brains with a sledgehammer. I have realized the hard way that we are not and will never be unable to not live and eat differently than those who do not struggle with their weight, metabolism, and morbid obesity. No matter the surgery, the intervention, the mental preparation. We are just built and given a different digestive system. Some people have different life long disabilities they have to adjust and overcome. This is ours. I really thought permanently altering your medical make up would out smart our bodies into "normalcy", unfortunately, our bodies are actually smarter than us and more so than we know. Thanks again!
