Why am i so nervous and lack patience?
I just made this decision a little over a week ago to have weight loss surgery. And i am on edge bigtime not because i am nervous about the surgery but i am excited and am anticipating it so much that waiting 6-8 months seems like crazy long even though it isn't. I have been at my job for a year now and am a good employee but i am scared they will fire me or something due to all the time i am going to need for meetings.. especially since we are in "seasonal mode" meaning we are BUSY.. then i am afraid i will lose my health insurance why am i so on edge and thinking this way.. i only seem to think this way possibly because i am sooo excited and i want NOTHING to go wrong along the way. Seriously after making this decision this wait is excrutiating and i just started!
I already filled out my info packet for cmc and called my doctors for referrals, records, appts, etc. I am not playing around. I also just got dx with sleep apnea in July but have been compliant on cpap for almost 6 weeks now.. requirement is min of 2 months. I am worried again that my insurance won't approve me.. why am i feeling this way? I mean it's not exactly like it took 6 months to gain all this weight so why should i expect the process to help me lose it fly by right?

You are feeling that way as the stakes are very high....and it is normal to feel that way.
Just ensure that you advocate for yourself with the doctor and the insurance company.....firm, but polite.
BTW, employment comes first...so you will need to just put the extra bit there to keep safe.
Best of luck

With regard to the employment and appointments, what I did, and always attempt to do, is get the appointment as close to my lunch hour as possible. Since I don't have a set lunch hour, if the appointment is at 1:00, I just take my lunch from 1:00 to 2:00. If I'm a bit late getting back, no one really cares because it's usually just a few minutes of actual "work" time that I'm taking.
Good luck and hope your journey goes smoothly!!!

I called the obesity treatment center and they finally got the referral and some bloodwork from my doctor i am glad she didn't hesitate to send a referral. Now all i have to do is go in the info session with my 15 page forms filled out and they said i would get a call within a week for my first appt!
