Everything High in Sugar

Creme of tomatoe soup has alot of sugar but if I consider what i am allowed in one meal it seems okay does that sound right??? One can of progresso can last me a long time.  Also the greek yogurt if I am only eating half the container at one sitting is it okay to look at it that way.

that would depend mostly on  if  you are pre or post op  and what surgery type you had. Also how far out you are if post op.

You should look at how much sugar is in the amount you are eating, yes.  Why would it really matter how  much was in a larger amount than you were eating?

not all sugars are created equal!  What is your sugar gram limit??  say its 3g..............look at the ingredients. If withinn the first 5 things there are BAD sugars (sugar, corn syrup, glucose-fructose.....) then do not eat it.  In things like tomato soup, your sugar is NATURALLY occuring fruit sugar.  In Greek yogurt there is a lot of NATURALLY occuring milk sugar (lactose)  and these are acceptable.  Your nutritionist should have this information for you. give them a call. :)

Ah...not really. The 'naturally' occurring sugar in tomato soup is fructose. (Tomatoes are a fruit.)  Lactose is something MANY people become intolerant of after WLS.

The bottom line is sugar is sugar is sugar.

Try to avoid the food which contains sugar much,you can eat grilled vegetables and boiled vegetables rather than having this kind of creamy stuff.

Eat plain yogurt that  is rich in nutrition,Have salad that is very good especially when your are trying to lose and trying to maintain it.
