I started the first day out of the hospital, but one eight ounce drink lasted all day for a few weeks.

As soon as I was discharged from the hospital, so the day after surgery.

According to my surgeon's plan, I anticipate starting protein powder on the eighth day after surgery. But not with dairy milk; with water or almond (or soy, they say, but I dislike soy milk.)

I haven't had surgery yet but I'm supposed to be getting 90 grams of protein/day from protein powders. So far so good, I think.

I have a basement but don't dwell in it full time.

I don't prefer having any kinda powder which  contain protein,i prefer having natural food which contains protein.

Usually i get that from fruits and vegetables i am scared of the side effects of supplements,Natural is the best.

As soon as I got out of the hospital. The Whey protein Isolate was okay with me (a few months out and I have been struggling with the taste of everything; although, I am not throwing any of it away, I think it's my taste buds changing). I have those Isopures and OMG....terrible taste (too me anyway)...I loved GNC LeanShakes, but haven't gotten them in awhile.
