Will I ever be able to eat these foods???

Have no fear my dear.  You will be able to eat anything.  You are listening to your body and it will tell you when.  It progressively gets better.  Totally understand the frustration, but please just hang in there.  You will become your normal self soon.  Take Care and God bless you richly.  Pam

I'm RNY post-op and have no problems with any of those foods, I just need to chew the lettuce, rice, and popcorn very well.

As for butter, why not? It's delicious and fat is important in your diet to absorb valuable nutrients. Obviously you want to keep it in moderation, but that goes for post-ops and non-ops.

I've found that pretty much nothing was "forever" gone for me. There are some things that will make me feel queasy if I eat more than a small serving, but at this stage of my life it is all about balance.
