open or laparoscopic r n y

My surgeon only offers laparoscopic because Open has a much higher rate of  getting hernia's. Not to mention I have 5 tiny incisions on my stomach, compared to a huge one going down my stomach. Open is alot more painful after. day 3 when I got home I didn't  even need pain meds anymore. Good luck!
