G'morning Rebecca ~ ABSOLUTELY "Confession is good for the SOUL" ....and this is a "SAFE THREAD" ...no one is allowed to jump in and start flickin' holy water at the FOOD sinners who have something to fess' up about. We're human, we muck up - that's not what makes us failures. It's doing NOTHING to change those habits that bite us in the butt. So between confessing and coming up with an "Action Plan" (ie, dumping the entire bowl into the kids bag) we help others who are fighting the same demons. Kudos to you for stopping when/where you did!! Hugs - Lei

That's hysterical!! I can imagine how BIG that kid's eyes were when he got an entire bowl full of candy! That's a story he will tell for YEARS!! Heck, he'll probably tell his kids that story!! I have had candy sitting on my counter all weekend. It didn't bother me at all, and I just count myself lucky because it could have gone the other way just as easily! Happy Election Day Eve! Jan

Morning Lei-lei, Glad that you survive the night. Time to park the brooms till next week.....I mean next year!!! Anyway, glad that you weathered it as well as you did. I gave in at my part-time several times, but hopefully I worked and ran most of it off. The job is going great and I am even too hyper today. I upped my B-12 and other vitamins also to help me along and I am already noticing the extra energy. But I need it as well. Hopefully everything is making a turn for the better. Even my boss, is a dear dear friend from many years back. He is more of like the one that I let walk away, but it was more like neither of us did not really act upon anything at the time. But there is good great memories there and the work relationship is going fine. Hope the rest of your day is going to go great, time for me to see what these dodos intend on doing today. Take care. Best wishes and kind thoughts to all, Bea

Hi Lei - I ate exactly 6 milk duds and cherished every adorable little nugget . . . . . the good thing about them is that when you are done, you can usually get a few more out of your teeth and enjoy those as well . . . . . kept the sugar count low so I didn't dump. LOL - I plan these things out so very well! First candy I've had since 12/12/02 my first surgery date . . . . . I don't want any more - just thought I'd try it. Confession felt good - thanks! Kim

HI LEI I WAS AT MY MOM'S, WHO USUALLY ONLY HAS SF CANDY AT HER HOUSE, SO I WAS LOOKING FOR ON SF HERSHEY'S BAR , THAT WAS WHAT I WAS CRAVING, BUT SHE ONLY HAD REAL CANDY FOR THE KIDS, AND I WAS AFRAID OF DUMPING BECAUSE WE WERE GOING OUT SO I DIDN;T HAVE ANY. BUT NOT FOR THE LACK OF TRYING. YOU DID THE RIGHT THING AND THAT BOY WILL BE BACK NEXT YEAR WITH A BIGGER BAG. HUGS KAREN

You are just too cute... I didn't buy candy this year, got little bags of chips less tempting. I had my surgery in July and have already tried candy. Went to the movies and thought resses peices would be ok, hey peanut butter good for ya right! Wrong, had 6-7 little peices and thought I wanted to die I seem to get real hot and sick if the surgar content is over 5-6 grams. A good thing right! Jennie 7/28/2004 277/194.6

Well, we sat a note out and 2 big bowls of candy for our trick-or-treaters while we took out our 5 year old twin girls and the 11 month old. When we got home, everything was gone... including the note and the bowls! Someone stole it all! Teenagers who could get away with it.... all the little kiddies had parents with them. Sooooo how did I do? Great! With all the kids in the house, I didn't eat one single piece of candy! I worked out yesterday morning and I even lost 2 lbs. over the weekend! I went to 2 fall festivals and a birthday on Saturday and the tempations were not the sweets, but the corndogs, hotdogs, pizza, french fries smothered with cheese, and the funnel cakes. Luckily for me, I lost all my sweet cravings while I was pregnant but, have now got even worse cravings.... fattning foods like hot wings, fried cheese, and fried pepper poppers. I do well though, because I don't own a deep frier and those things have to be gotten at a restaurant. I feel great today and am sooo proud of all of you! A few pieces of candy won't kill you... Today is a new day and we are all in the same boat... we struggle. Just think of the holidays and seeing all your family and freinds again and how georgous you all will look now that you have lost weight!!!!! Good for you Lei for dumping all your temptations! That was a good move! Now, everyone have a great week! Hugs to all! Happy Fall!

Good morning Lei! Reminds me of one of those MasterCard commercials~ Halloween Costume: 19.95 Plastic pumpkin candy-holder: 4.99 3 bags of halloween candy: 9.99 The look on the face of the mother of the child who got that whole bag full o'halloween candy dumped into his stash ~ PRICELESS!! Ok so I'ma dork this morning I actually wasn't faced with that kind of temptation this weekend, having had to go to TN for class and not getting home until late last night. Well, temptation still exists... like that ultimate chocolate cake thingy one of my classmates got at dinner and brought back to the hotel room But, my WOW moment Friday kept me in check so there wasn't anything bringing me down this weekend. (I went for a follow-up and found out that I weigh less now than I did at the beginning of my 8th grade school year 15 years ago! That was a big 'ol WOW!) Now next year ...... that's another story lol! I hope you have an awesome week girl! Huggzz, Cathy

I gave in! I had 2 small snack bags of the Whoppers candy. Oh the malt just melted away in my mouth. I felt so bad!! But today I am staying away from the 4 gallon bags of candy (3 kids went trick or treating). I made my husband eat all of the snicker bars...I LOVE snicker bars!! Have a good day all! Rhonda
