New Quest Bar Flavor - Double Chocolate Chunk

This flavor officially launches today at 10:30am Pacific time (so in a few mins). I was fortunate enough to be able to buy a box from a pre-launch test run.

Here are my thoughts. First if you like chocolate you will like this bar. Same great things about Quest Bars, lots of fiber (i.e. Low Net Carbs), lots of protein, but this one comes in at only 160 calories.

The bar is tasty, especially if you like the taste of dark chocolate. Compared to the Cookie Dough bar, this one is not as sweet and has a slight cocoa powder bitter after taste but nothing that would stop be from buying these bars again.

They are not my favorite but they rank in the top 4 or 5 (I haven't decided yet).

HI Keith

I am just getting back to OH after being gone for some time.  I had RNY 6 years ago, and I am back trying to loose a bit and maintain.  I am hearing a lot of about these Quest bars and I just looked at the website.  This looks too good to be true! Have you tried the pasta?? Would love to hear some reviews!

Quest Bars are great. Lots of fiber, taste good, made with hood ingredients. I have not tried the pasta, didn't sound good to me. A good all natural whole wheat pasta would be a decent option when you want to have pasta.

I was wondering if I should try theses.  I love the chocolate chip cookie dough.  I gather from what you said the the chocolate chip cookie dough is a little better.

It's worth trying one to see if you like it. You can get them at GNC and vitaminShoppe or order them directly from quest. The cookie dough is better in my opinion but I am also not a hard core chocolate lover.

I am a hard core chocolate lover.  However I don't like the brownie flavored cause I think the consistency is weird.  The chocolate chip cookie dough is my favor but I'll give the chocolate chunk a try.  Thank you!    I eat 1 of theses a day cause I can't stand the protien shakes anymore. lol

The chocolate chunk is more like cookie dough than brownie. I got sick of the brownie and now I can't eat them.

Try switching up your protein powders. I am using Dymatize Iso-100 Gourmet Chocolate and it is really good.

My sleeve is abnormally large so I get plenty of protein in my food.  I just eat the bar to make sure plus it tastes like really cookie dough with no artificial and no sugar.   It's like my treat!.   But i do eat 80 to 100 grams a day mostly from just food.  The other thing I do for a treat (not every day) is making healthy no dairy ice cream out of nuts and ice and stevia, cinnanmon and vanilla extract in my vitamix.   I was doing it in the nutribullet until I blew the motor the vitamix works much better.
