Beginners Exercise - 18 Minute Toning Workout
Knees are bad 5 knee surgeries. how am i to do lunges and squats? it just makes me squirm at the sound of the word... pre surgery for gastric.
Wow you would think after 5 knee surgeries you would be good to go.
Here is what I tell bad knee people *****ally want to still work the biggest muscles in their bodies.
Get a kitchen chair, and stand in front of it like you are going to sit down. As soon as your butt touches the seat, stand back up. Its called a bump squat. If that doesn't hurt, try the same thing with your couch (which is much harder). If that does hurt, then get another kitchen chair facing outward and hold on to the back of it for support as you go to sit down.
Lunges may be too much of a challenge to try but holding on to a door frame or railing might help. Instead of lunges you could always do chairs. I am not saying your knees won't hurt but you want to certainly avoid doing any further damage to them.
