Emotional pre op

I haven't had surgery yet; still in the process of researching, but I think grieving the loss of my "friend" is a big emotion for me.  Also, the fear of what I'll do without my #1 coping skill for stress.  Best of luck - I'm sure you'll do great!

Looking forward,

I understand, and you are wise to really work on figuring out your triggers and other ways of dealing with them rather than eating. That I believe should be part of the pre op phase. Continue to research, and best wishes for you as you work through this period of your life. My surgery is one week from today. Today and tomorrow I clean the house, buy gift for  my best friend who is flying in to stay with me for the week, clean out the pantry some more.

I am working up to my surgery, so these next couple days that I am off is my time to reflect, and accomplish the things on my list as well as start journaling, and get my toes done.

Barb.k - Thanks for your kind words and support!  I need it.  I'm stressing over all of this.  It sounds like you have everything in order!  It seems a lot like "nesting" before a baby is born.  Best of luck on your surgery!!!

Yes, and you will probably cry on and off as wonderful things happen to you because of your weight loss. I get really emotional sometimes but happy kind of emotional! I will start telling my best friend what I accomplished that day due to losing weight and tear up!
