loose skin

I am 5 years post op (RNY) . I lost 135 pounds. Have gained 23 pounds back in the last 5 1/2 years but my question is why did i just start to get loose skin in the last 8 months but didnt have loose skin before then.

You may be deficient in proteins, collagen or vitamins or minerals. Dehydration  also can play a role.

That does not make any sense at all.  Gaining back some weight filled in my loose skin.  Where is the loose skin appearing?

mostly in the front . When i lie on my side I have a big crease down the middle from belly button to bikini area. I work in a warehouse so my job is very physical.

I guess the physical work has eliminated some of the belly fat.

just was hoping someone might have had the same thing happen to them. I am still very happy with my success. My insurance does not cover taking care of the loose skin so for now I will continue to tuck it in my jeans or find some shape wear. Thanks for responding :)
