Hi Stacy P--My new niece-to-be is Italian and she has served it to us. To me it is like an Italian relish/cheese tray--some peppers, olives, tomatoes, mozzarella (sp?) cheese--often drizzled with olive oil. That's my take on it--hope it helps. Sunny

Hi Stacy, An antipasta is an appetizer. I'm Italian. We have "antipasto" as a first course to any holiday meal. It usually consists of a combination of meats, cheeses, and assorted marinated vegetables. Enjoy, Carmella

I thought antipasto was anything served before the pasta or main meal. I think it covers several variations of dishes. I hope someone can answer this. Jeanie

Your not alone Stacy. My 11 year old asked me what it was a while back. When I had no answer he made me laugh by asking (in all seriousness) if it was made by someone prejudice against noodles?

I eat an antipasta salad that is made of lettuce, onions, peppers, black olives, deli ham, and turkey, shredded mozerella cheese, and dressing. I order it from an Italian Resturant for lunch all the time and sometimes I fix one at home. Teresa

Be careful! If you mix Pasta and Antipasta, it could cause an explosion that would end the universe! ... or is that anti-matter... Either way, be careful! Tek
