This is the 2nd post that I received regarding Indiana cantaloupes. Hmmmm, could it be that Indy loupes are better than Pecos loupes. I don't know, those Indy loupes would have to be stratospheric awesome to beat the flavor that I savored tonight. Ron

Hi Ron, I have never heard of this type of cantalope, I will have to look for it. But I have found that if I eat a small quantity of fruit at the end of each meal I am not reaching for the water glass. I can't eat without drinking, especially anything salty and I found that fruit clears out that taste and makes me able to wait to take my drink. I am addicted to bing cherries right now, I have a huge bag of them at work and I eat a few after each meal, the bag lasts forever. I do watermellon and strawberries also. Have to check out the cantalope. Hugs Heidi

Heidi, I find that I can't eat & drink at the same time. I cannot recall ever having tried bing cherries. Are they sweet? I do like watermelon & strawberries. However, fruits are my weakness and if taken in too much quantities can impede my weight loss. I saw you earlier post about your anticipated time with your boyfriend. Enjoy your time with him. Ron

Ron, Bing cherries are addictive, not too sweet, but just right. They have 84 calories in a cup of them. I am/was diabetic so I watch the sugars, only allow myself to eat fruit and everything else is under 7 grams of sugar per meal. My sugars have been perfect since surgery and I am off my meds. So that is a very good thing, I couldn't live without fruit, or my fat free cream cheese. If you like sweets like me, whip how ever many tablespoons of fat free cream cheese you can eat, I take 4 tbls, 5 packets of splenda and a bit of cool whip light. Whip up the cream cheese first before you add the splenda or cool whip so it doesn't get lumpy, for this serving size its about 130calories and no carbs and a whopping 16grams of protein. Needless to say this is a mainstay of my diet, and its great as a dip for fruit or eaten plain like a pudding. I love this stuff, I call it my guilt free cheesecake diet. And thank you, I am so looking forward to my vacation, spending time with my boyfriend is always the most fun. Hes an incredible man, I adore him. Hugs Heidi

Heidi, Is that Philadelphia Fat Free Cream Cheese? Can I find that at my local grocery store. I am so much going to try that cream cheese/splenda/cool whip dip. I can taste it already. I love the 16 grams of protien. I would have to think that the consistency of the fruit dip would directly depend on the temperature of the cream cheese. I would imagine if whipped first it gets a very creamy texture. Thanks for the great idea. Ron

Hi Ron, Yup its philly cream cheese, my local grocery store doesn't make a fat free store brand equivalent. Its pricey so I suggest if you have a super wal mart near you to get it there, its a lot cheaper. I find the fat free cream cheese has the highest protein quantity and it whips up really creamy, I use it right out of the fridge and whip it with a spoon until its smooth. I just love it, I can't seem to get enough. When you try it let me know if you like it or not. You just can't beat the protein/ calorie combo in it. Hugs Heidi

Protein shmotein , eat fruit, its got alot of fiber and god knows we need some fiber after this surgery to get that waste train through the tummy tunnels. And lots of enzymes for digestion and healing. The amounts of fruit you can eat is not enough freak out on unless your drinking Jamba juices by the gallon.

Pecos Canttaloupes???? Only the best and sweetest in the world. I like to put them in the blender with some apple melon Isopure powder and ice and make a slushy. Taste great and get my pritein at the same time. Helps with nature too, if you know what I mean.
