Missy, I never thought of it before but oh yea you are. When I read your subject line I thought of the song "The Streak" by Ray Stevens, . Don't worry you won't remember a thing . Hugs, Dana

Thanks Dana I'm not worried at all, I was only curious because the dr's assistant told me that I will be given a gown. I thought that this did'nt make any sense because they would have to have access to my tummy We know those hospital gowns dont cover enough

The gowns are so the whole hospital doesn't see us ; but just about everyone and his brother does from the pre-op room, to surgery to recovery and back to your room. . Know what, it's weird how you'll lose some of your modesty after surgery, or I have but selectively. Dana

You are right JoAnn, a bazillon people see you in stirrups during child birth. After giving birth two times for me, there isn't a such thing as modesty .

from what i've heard, they have to take the gown off in order to get to the stomach region, but keep your lower half covered until they cathaterize you, etc. It may be a matter of preference for different surgeons, as to whether you are laying there completely naked, or somewhat covered at different times, lol. good question!

OMG!! What a blast from the past. My dad used to have Ray Stevens on a 45. He would play it all the time and got a kick out of yelling the part about Ethel. Here he comes...look...who's that with him? Ethel, is that you, Ethel? What do you think you're doing? You get your clothes on! Ethel, where you going? Ethel, you shameless hussy Say it isn't so Ethel Ethel.................. Thanks for the flashback
